Default Premium Thermostat worth it?

I'm going to be changing out my 97 accord 4 cylinders thermostat. When looking online I learned (I think I did anyway) that the OE temp is 180 degrees. I noticed most online parts places offer a "premium" thermostat that is 170 degrees and it's usually just slightly more expensive. Some claims were it prolongs engine and oil life and improves fuel economy. Is this even close to being true? Does it hurt to do with the lower temp one?

I did a search on here but cant really find any info.

Thanks for the education.

Personally, I would stick with the OEM thermostat. Mine had the original for 180K miles, and I changed it out when I did my timing belt.
