For some reason my car rev's out at 4500rpm, sometimes it boggles down to 2700-3500rpm when driving, theres no check engine light, and when I jumped the computer to see what codes it would give me and it gave me a code for map sensor,, well i replaced it and it still does the same thing . can anyone help me??

 

hi there, welcome, do you have a manual for you car?like chilton or haynes? your issue might be on your throttle postion sensor. the MAP and the TPS. they seem to work hand on hand.also could you tell us what type/year/model your car is so some of the members couldhelp pinpoint their response to your question. SORRY,, its a 93 accord lx,, but wouldnt the TPS make my car idle funny, my idle is fine-Oh and I noticed that when I hit the brakes when i'mm goin g over 40mph, I hear a weird noise that sounds like a bunch of screws and bolts fly'n around and then it stops, I popped the hood to see where it comes from but i cant see anywhere or anythiing that would make that kinda of noise,, i think its air related maybe a air valve or something gets stuck or something , I dont know but i need help
