Can anyone help me Please..I have 1999 accord coupe ex 4cyl automatic. when i'm driving on D4 from a stop sign the rpm revs up high then it goes into gear(no CEL).Is my transmission going bad?It shifts fine...Had dignostic testin from a couple of transmission shop and advise me i need a rebuilt. but why is CEL not on? Is it the transmission or something else like IACV?.

 

Well the computer system can't monitor every thing on the car.
Those transmissions are nothing to "write home to mom about."
To put it simply; You could not run fast enough to give me the 98-02 Accord with an Auto Trans.
There was extended warranty on that trans but is expired by now.
The dealership rebuilt trans unit is more expensive but it will come with warranty on it. So that is something to consider when shopping around.
