Smoke from around the exhaust manifold
#11
Exhaust leaks at exhaust manifold usually produce some noise. Leaks at exhaust manifold/engine are unusual. It may be helpful to have car elevated on ramps or jackstands so you can see underside and determine source/path of oil leakage.

CEL Code
I got an CEL and it came up as P0305, P306 and P1399. Looks like I have a misfire on 5 and 6 cylinder where the same bank the smoke is coming from. Can a blocked cat cause a misfire? I'm going to unbolt the exhaust before the cat and see if it helps.

Update
I removed the O2 pre-cat and not change. I checked ignition coil and spark pulg wire are within specs. I'll check the spark plugs next. Any other suggestions?
Also, a friend stated the smoke can be coming from the previous leak in the distributor oil seal. The excess oil are soaked in the cast iron manifold and are still burning off. Could that be true?

If you've driven any significant amount, new smoke means leak continues. Oil burns off quickly once leak is stopped.
Did you check distributor vent (bottom side, seam between cap/distributor). A shaft seal leak will leak at this point and delivers a pretty steady stream of oil.
A leak on two adjacent cylinders (suggest resetting to see if same codes P0305, P0306 reappear) suggests a fault perhaps head gasket leak between cylinder affecting compression or allowing coolant into cylinder. Any coolant loss? Does missing occur on startup or all the time. Any white smoke from exhaust (steam)?
P1399 was not a documented code for 1997 that I could find in my shop manuals, but apparently later was documented Honda code in later years. It appears to be a code for Random Misfire.
