Someone broke my fuel door and stole my gas cap? Help?
Newbie here.
Last night someone decided to bemean and pry open my fuel filling door and steal my gas cap. I replaced the gas cap this morning but my fuel filling door won't close. I'm guessing when they pryed it open, my bracket that helps the door stay closed..got broken off? Is there another bracket I can buy? If so, what's it called?
Thank you!

First of all you need to put the year and model of your car in your signature.. so people know what model you're talking about .. this is a must have ..
I dont know about other years but I have an 01 and it happened to me before.. I bought a new release cable from the dealer .. approx about $30 and replaced it.. easy process just a little time consumes .. goodluck

A locking gas cap wouldn't be a bad investment either.... for the $10 it costs to buy one it protects $50.00 worth of fuel.... man that's messed up....

without looking at it it's hard to say what all they managed to break, I'd suggest just drive it to a dealer, have them take a quick look and order what you need then put the parts on yourself.

+1 on that ...Without looking at it, I have no idea what they've done to your fuel filling door.
Driving it to the dealer is a good idea but asking them about the diagnosis charges before getting there. I live in NewEngland and pretty much they charge $80 for that before doing anything, just ask first ...
Or you can take a few pictures from the damages and post them in here see if any of us can help you out.. goodluck
