Default trailer wiring connector

How do I connect the trailer flat plug to the harness inside the trunk? Do I need to cut a hole?

Normally, you just close the trunk over the trailer wiring. It usually doesn't harm the wiring, as there is a slight gap between the trunk lid and trunk area, which is sealed by the weatherstrip.

Yes, that is correct and I advise you wrap some electrical tape around the cable just to just provide a little bit of extra protection.

Thanks for the info. I noticed this morning on the trunk by the license plate,a rubber plug. I am going to see if it goes through and if it will also work.

Thanks again!
