Transmisión Issues

Transmisión Issues
Well I know it's a different part from the engine... Anyway so my D4 light is flashing, but first when I start up the car, the D4 light won't be flashing and everything will be working perfectly fine; after a couple of minutes the D4 light starts to flash and when I try to connect the computer to read the codes it won't let me connect.. Like it looses connection with everything and the car starts to run a bit rough and transmission won't shift gears... I was thinking it could be an electrical problem or maybe the TCM is going out... Does anybody has had the same problem or know what could be causing it?
Thanks

Can you help us help you?
Knowing the year, engine and trim level would be a start.
When the D4 starts to blink, pull the car over and do not turn it off, check for codes. Do you get any when doing that?

Yeah it's a Honda Accord 95 with the 2.7 V6 engine
And I tried to check codes while de D4 light is on but I can't access the TCM or the ECM... Is like it kicks me out of the system because it might be having a communication issue
If I kill the car and turn it back on, it will run perfectly fine but wait like 5 minutes and the light will come back on, I checked the TCM and ECM for any codes while the light was off and I found nothing, no codes stored at all

Under the glove box there is a two pin connector that may be plugged into a dead end plastic clip. It should be gray but sometimes they are blue. It is a connector that does not connect to other wires. You need to jump between the two pins (you can use a paper clip if needed). Once you jump the connector turn the key to the ON position and watch the light and keep count. For example one long flash followed by two quick flashes would be Code 12. If there are multiple codes then the next one should be different ie. One long and four short flashes would be Code 14. Eventually it will go through them all and repeat the codes. You will be looking at the D4 light for the transmission codes and the check engine light for the engine codes. Note, NEVER jump a yellow connector as bad things can happen to you and the SRS system.
If you can't find the connector under the glove box, sometimes they are located under the carpet near the firewall on the passengers side or under the plastic kick cover on the passengers side next to/in front of the door, if that makes any sense.
