Transmission delay in each gear. Revs up higher than normal before shifting. Tran Fluid Ok. Could this be TCU? If so what code would be displayed. 92 Accord DX Auto.

Is D4 light blinking? If yes, see DIY forum for instructions on determining code. Even if light is not blinking some code/s may be stored.

Flaring at shift is a sign of aging that generally can't be fixed w/o trans overhaul. However it usually affects 1-2 shift first.

Are you using Honda ATF? If not, suggest several drain/refill/run cycles to replace w/ Honda ATF.

Check the AT throttle control cable. Throttle control lever should begin to move at same time as engine idle increases. Adjust locknuts to change throttle control cable setting.

good luck
