Only use Honda ATF. My 90 accord EX takes 2 1/2 qts for a simple drain and fill. Do not overfill. Put in 2 1/2 qts then roadtest. Check the level after the engine shutdown and fluid is at normal operating temperature.

A good way to measure the drained fluid is to drain it into a calibrated milk jug. Mine is marked off at 2 1/2, 3 and 3 1/2 qts. This will tell you how much fluid actually drained.
