Default What brand parts to buy for tune-up

I'm planning on doing a tune-up for my 2002 Accord 4cyl by replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap & rotor. I found info from the owner's manual to use NGK spark plugs (so I got those), but nothing regarding the other parts (searching online I find Bosch or "Japan" brand for the wires and distributor).

My question is this: does it matter if I use these non-OEM brand parts, like Bosch, for the spark plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, or should I buy these parts from the Honda dealer? Is the quality noticeably different? and if so why do most of the online sites recommend these?

And if so I'd like to ask what the OEM brand for these parts are so I don't need to buy them at the dealer. They tried to sell me NGK spark plugs at $20 each, which I found at Autozone for $11!!! So I don't trust their pricing. I greatly appreciate any help you could give me!!!

Honda factory plug wires are VERY good. Good chance they don't need to be replaced.
NGK makes good plug wires too. I've had mediocre results with Bosch wires.

I hope the $11 was total. I got NGK Iridium IX for about $2-3 each and I know the regular copper plugs are only about $6 for 4 plugs.

For the cap and rotor, I usually use the "premium" parts from the auto store, which usually ends up being BWD brand, which is okay. The parts work and the spark must be good enough since I still get 460 miles to the tank and the engine starts with one crank everytime.

As far as OEM plug wires go, I believe they are Sumitomo. Even if you do buy them at the dealer, they're probably still cheaper thank aftermarket NGK or other brands. Should not be more than about $80 for those.

I think it goes on personal preference. If you believe you need to replace w/ OEM parts, then do it. If you consider your car to be high performance, then put high performance parts in it. I replaced cap/rotor/plugs/wires with parts from Autozone, $70 bucks out the door. Works just fine.
