Default Brake Light Failure (Passenger Side + Center)

and those two have 12v. That's right behind the seat cushions. But the center and passenger side brake lights don't work with the pedal depressed. the lid bulb housing takes like a .02V reading. What else should I test? I checked all my fuses and changed bulbs. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure where those wires go?

There are three brake lights. Passenger, driver, and high mount (center) on your car. Which ones are not working? Are any other lights not working?

At the brake switch, what are the two wire colors? Unplug that connector and verify that one of the wires (tell us the color) has 12V to ground.

The driver side brake light works its the passenger side and high mount (center) that don't work. Those are the only lights not working. The turn signals work. Only the one working has 12V ground.
Its a 1991 Honda Accord LX. And when it was all working the clock dims its display whenever I pressed the brake pedal. Don't know if that would be a ground issue. I have been working on checking for continuity at the harness that goes from the trunk to the back seat. From there there is only 12V for the one that is working. So i didn't know if I had to test a sensor or switch or anything. Thank you again.

Suggest checking the RH side brake light warning system. It should have 12V and ground to the module (RH opening in trunk). Something may be unplugged or damaged wire to open. Grn/Wht should supply 12V to the module and Grn/Red should supply 12v to the bulb.

Ground G701 for brake lights is near the antenna on the LH side. Check this also, but likely OK since LH brake bulb shares this ground.

good luck

I did exactly as you said and found the problem. Ok the male end of the housing is black and burnt around the top right corner or Grn/Wht supply 12v and its the only one supplying a 12V charge. Should I replace the sensor as well as the housing? Can I pull this off at a junkyard and re-wire strip the wires into a new plastic housing. I'm in the library at my college so I'll upload a picture. Thank you for your suggestions as they were spot on.

Hard to tell from a photo, but likely will require cut/splice each connector w/ a used connector as you suspected.

good luck

Default junkyard is my friend

very cool. Just went and paid the $2 entrance fee and grabbed a new sensor and bulb housing/connector off a similar model. Works great. So i take it because there was no fuse it just blew the connector. I hate that somebody mangled my Honda electrically so badly. I've been just fixing one small thing to the next putting things back into order. Thank you for your help on everything. I'm very appreciative.
