where to jack up my car?

Default where to jack up my car?

hi, i bought a 2000 honda accord coupe, 5 speed, 4cylinder, 2 door, etc.

it didn't have a manual with it. i need to rotate my tires. i want to know where i can safely lift my car with a floor jack or bottle jack to rotate my tires.

hondas have little tabs along the seams behind the rocker panels, 4 in total, two behind each front tire and one in front of each rear tire. they look like so

There are 4 points near the wheels. Look underneath the car on the sides and you'll see 3/8"x4" bars of steel. Also, You can jack it up from the front crossmember and the rear tow hook.

LOL ..... the best part is that there are 2 lift points that work better, just not for the scissor jack.

Yeah, I've never touched my scissor jack... or bottle jack... 3.5 ton Craftsman hydraulic jack FTW! And I always use the crossmember/rear tow hook 'cause it's faster

so it's ok to put my hydraulic jack under those 4 inch long tabs and lift there?

thanks for the help. this is my first car. i've been driving a toyota tacoma 4x4 for years and i could jack that thing up anywhere. i love this car and just wanted to do the right thing.
