Where is my ECM Located?
#3
No, I'm looking for the ECM unfortunately error code P0685 was thrown out and it read as "ECM power control circuit malfunction - Probably Cause 1. Open or short circuit malfunction 2. Failed ECM"
I just took a look at it and all the wires seem fine.
Any ideas?

Reset & see if it comes back? I don't really know any tricks for that code.
The ECU might just be one of the specific emmissions components included in a longer warranty. Check your warranty booklet, especially if you're in California.

This code is one of those codes that may be best having the dealer diagnose it. Otherwise, you can wait to see if the problem comes back.
Generally, the dealer will check for temporary Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or DTCs with their Honda Diagnostic System (HDS). If the ECM doesn't have the latest software, they will update the software with the HDS. Otherwise, if the problem persist, then most likely it is a bad ECM and needs to be replaced.
Right now, it may have just been an intermittent failure.

One other thing. Did the car have the battery replaced recently? It so, check the battery hold-down is secure and battery can't move, and check the negative and positive cable connections.

Solution: P0685 Ecm/pcm error issues Honda Accord 03
I had the P0695 Ecm/pcm error4months ago. The car would go off as Im driving; and I looked at your review...the dealer was useless...they suggested all kinds of replacements but that was not the solution/
The solution is replacing the :tensioner" = $80.
Why?
The tensioner is a compressed spring that is nounted by a small roller(wheel). Its connected to the alternator so as to allow the belt spin with flexible tension. With hondas after sometime the spring loses its tension making the alternator work harder; hence draining the Battery of power. So when they test your battery or alternator it will show low power...but if tested independently they work fine. The tensioner was replaced on my car, with the same old batterty and same old G101 cable and same old alternator. Its been 3months plus and the problem never returned. Test the tensioner and you will notice that its alot harder - it kind of tightens the belt...it should be flexible if the spring is good.
Hope this is the ultimate solution for you as it was for me!!
God richly bless you and lets be intouch.
