A/C Noise ???
I have a 6th Gen Accord EX Sedan and am experiencing a noise directly behind the panel underneath the glove box. I know it is related in some way to the A/C unit. Here is a description of what happens:
When the A/C temp is set in the range of 71 degrees to about 78, the noise happens. When it is below or above that range, it does not. The dial is pointing directly up when at 75 degrees (just for reference). The noise always occurs when adjusting the temp ****, but usually only for about a sec. or two and then stops. So when in the range I described above, its like it can't make up its mind where to be (whatever moving part is causing the noise) and just keeps re-adjusting.
I hope someone has had similar experience and knows what I'm talking about. The car has just over 100K on it and I have only replaced the two filters (pollen/dust) once a long time ago, so I will try that. I think that the blower motor is down there also, but this has nothing to do with the amount of air that is blowing, just the temp that I set the system to.
Thanks in advance.

RE: A/C Noise ???
Hmmmm 6th Gen thats 7 spaces and a general idea
1996 thats 4 spaces and an exact description
It's kinda late and I'm not going to search thru 4 years worth of service bulletins and service news articles.

RE: A/C Noise ???
Well you might need to go dash diving under the drivers side to watch the 'mode' motor working.
I'm not sure if the driver side lower panel needs to be removed or not, but here is the way to test the motor.
