Default Time for timing belt??

I have a 99 EX V6 with 90K. I'm thinking it's time to replace timing belt. It doesn't have any bad symptoms. Wondering what you guys think? Any other maintenace I should do at the same time? Water pump?

Also have an 02 Odyssey V6 with 80K. Wondering if I should do that one soon also.

Thanks.

It'll look good & work good, and the belt will look OK. Until maybe 3 hours before the belt breaks. I'd replace it on schedule instead of extending it based on looks.

if you got thr extra money do them both ,, if tight on money do the 1 with the higher mileage 99 v6..

you got to keep in ming that the miles on the odometer are not the actual miles on the t-belt, especially if you do mostly city driving. . anytime the you are stopped at traffic lite or behind traffic, miles do not roll up on the odometer but engine is still turning , so t-belt has more miles than indicated on odometer

do the water pump and seals while you're in there if you can afford it... it will save you money in the long run

as Sir-nasty said on doing water pump , it is not a question if you can afford it,, but a must once everything is apart .. also replace the hydraulic tensioner and outer belts

Thanks. Any suggestions on replacement parts (belts, tensioner and pump.) Original Honda parts or aftermarket?

A number of people have bought timing belt "kits" and had good luck with them (water pump, seals etc) personally though I'd make sure that at least the belt and water pump are OEM Honda, the other stuff is kind of up to your discretion...
