Wrench indicator light questions
My wife loves her 2007 Accord and took it to our long term mechanic for the 30000 miles service.
Now the wrench/service light comes on and it has "10%" left before the oil change, even though the oil looks as clean as a whistle
Is the dealer service necessary to get rid of this light?
Thanks - p

RE: Wrench indicator light questions
If the oil was just changed, that probably means they didnt clear the maintenance minder. It doesnt actually measure the oil, it just keeps track of engine use. Stuff like # of starts, # of COLD starts, hours, etc. It probably even keeps track ofhow much you romp on the gas pedal.
When itshows the oil %, press & hold the select/reset button until it flashes. Release the button; press & hold it again until it changes to 100%.
Then you should remember to do you next service a bit early since that thing wasnt reset during the 30k service.
