Throttle body spacers don't seem to do nearly as much as carburetor spacers, before everything was fuel injected, carb spacers could make a decent improvement. You can get decent gains with a different intake manifold and larger throttle body assuming you also have supporting mods on the V6 cars.
And honestly, if you have the 4 cylinder and not the V6, there just isn't enough out there to really make enough power to spend the money on. If you want something quicker, sell yours and get a V6 model. Lot more power right off the bat and the aftermarket does support the J30/32/35/36/37 engines.
