Intake for 88 Accord Lxi
Hi,
I am new member here looking for an intake for a 1988 Honda Accord Lxi. I've searched around Google, and didn't seem to find anything. I would like a cold air intake if possible. If there is anything please send me the link to where I can order. Thanks

You could always find yourself an AEM V2. It's definitely expensive, but it's the best cold air around when you take into account sound and performance.

Hmm, your right. I'm only seeing intake down to year 90. I'm not quite sure if any of those years (90+) would fit for you, so I'll keep looking for you. I've checked AEM and Injen without luck.
Is your car a 4cyl or V6?

The only intake I could find for the 88-89 years was a V6 and the brand wasn't reconizable. I'll keep looking but, K&N, AEM, and Injen didn't have anything for your year on their website. You could try calling them and I'll keep an eye out and post if I see anything. Good luck, sorry I couldn't be more help.

Tom,
What about these? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/pe...1989&partid=15
I think the engine is a 2.0 liter. The Toucan intake looks legit, but it says only 1.6 liter?

Well, your engine may be a 1.6L. This isn't from experience or anything, just an idea. If you had a 2.0L and there was a 1.6L model, there really isn't anything lower than a 4 banger. You may want to clarify before you go any further. I'm sure someone on the forums knows the exact size of your engine. If it is a 1.6L, than the toucan appears to be the only way to go if you want a cold air. If it happens to not work it's only a 100 dollar mistake, but I haven't heard anything about how the brand performs for cold air so, you may also want to look into that as well. Again, hopefully someone else knows about the brand a little more than I do. If money isn't a big deal then you could figure out your engine size and if it is a 1.6L, give it a try. Just be careful about water ingestion so, in other words, don't drive through any big puddles unless you invest in a bypass valve or something. Good luck bro.
