new 98 accord owner
#2
What country do you live in? Also the VIN (vehicle identification number) can help determine the country of origin; however, the previous owner could have swapped the engine.
It is probably a F20 series engine. The engine block should have a stamp on it with the full number.

Based on your VIN you attached in your other post, information from JimBlake (a member/moderator of this forum), and further research, and what you just said about being in Brunei...

Your Accord was assembled in the U.S. and exported.
It appears to be a 1998 Honda Accord, 4-door, automatic, right-handed drive, 4 cylinder - 2.0 litre engine, USA origin, built at the Marysville, Ohio plant, EX and exported to country/areas of:
BARBADOS, CYPRUS, FIJI, GUYANA, HONG KONG, JAMAICA, MALAYSIA, MALAWI, MALTA, NIGERIA, PAKISTAN, PAPUA, SEYCHELLES, SOUTH AFRICA, SUDAN - (KU)
The 2.0 engine was included in these exported models.

I am guessing it's a F20B engine. To confirm, the number is stamped on the engine block; I believe it is located at the front of the engine block, probably under the general area of the upper radiator hose.
