how do you choose between turbo and supercharge?

Typically you put superchargers on engines with ample amounts of torque
SCs have a parasitic draw on the engine, because it is driven by the engine belt.
Turbo is what you would want to go with for the best results.

I like turbo because it doesn't take hp from the engine to make hp, it might have a little lag but when it kicks in, it feels great. My opinion is more like the power is right out the hole but loose power at high end, while turbo might lag out of the hole, but when the boost comes you'll feel the pull all the way to red line for most set up. Turbo kit is usually harder to install than a supercharger but they will last a long time, maybe that's why we see more turbo cars then supercharged cars.
