2016 Civic Test Drive - Poorman Style
So I got a 2016 Civic that had just under 1K miles on it when I got it yesterday - it is a loaner as the 2016 Pilot needs some minor surgery.
First the driver needs to re-set - been driving either the 07 or 16 Pilot for too long.
So far I have to say it is a pretty decent car. I'll play with it more in the next few days and see if there is anything more to report....right now just trying to learn the buttons and that and get the seat and steering wheel to a position I can handle.
Pretty sure it is just a base model, no badge to tell me the trim level so I need to run the VIN to figure out what it is. If anyone has questions about it let me know in the next few days and I'll see what I can come up with or report.

Well, bad news is I get to drive the Civic a little longer - new trans needed in the 2016 Pilot
For normal driving it has good engine power - not anything that will set you back in the seat but if you need to "get over" or that it will hold its own.
In bumper to bumper slow driving the trans "seems" to get a little confused on what to do.
I'm sure it is the driver adjusting but for me there are some "spots" outside the car that are hard to see - again the more I drive I might find a better position for the mirrors.

Really just playing here, because I can .
I'm attaching the best sound clip of the trans noise from my 2016 Pilot - the reason I have this loaner Civic.....and the reason the Pilot is getting a new trans put in it with only ~21K miles on it
Again, it is not a great clip but the best I could get

That sucks about the Pilot I assume Honda's footing the bill? One good thing about your "loaner" is it probably sips gas. I leased a civic for my daughter while she was in college and that thing could be driven for ever on very little gas. She's out of school now and bought herself a V6 Jeep she's putting a little more gas in that thing now.
