the overdrive button turns off overdrive, so if you're pulling a trailer or hauling some heavy junk, you can keep it from going into overdrive and overheating or shifting back and forth too much.

sport mode holds the gears out a little longer and it shifts them more stiff, thus making it more sporty. Kinda of a pointless feature if you ask me, but I guess it looks good as a feature.
