Default DVD Navigation

I have an 08 Accord EX-L with V6, mechanically stock.

One day out of the blue when I turn the ignition on, the Nav system says Honda, but then says error reading DVD. I don't know how it could have been damaged, it's been in there since I got it.

Any ideas before I throw rolls of money at the dealer?

Thanks!

A not uncommon occurrence is for the DVD drive to fail. I had this failure on 03 Acura MDX and repaired by returning to Alpine for rebuilding at a fixed price. I think I recently saw the rebuild price is up to $360.

good luck

Turns out it was connected to the radio, when they put in the code, all worked again! First time good experience at a dealership. Although the rest they tried to bend me over.
