My engine is sound. I am not going to throw a rod anytime soon. Gas on the other hand I personally don't care how much I waste. I just love to drive and in order to do that I have to spend money on gas repairs and proper maintence and I have not gone over 3000 miles for oil change nor did the owner before me I know for a fact from reciepts and he is my neighbor so I think my engine will last longer it only has 100157 miles on it. I am planning on a rebuild with new heads port and polished, and a port matched intake manifold dc s headers test pipe and tein SS coil overs

RE: going down the highway
j_man, why would driving like that increase the chances of throwing a rod? What specific parts of his driving contribute to that? Just high speed? Accelerating? Shifting?

It is a plastic disc with adhesive on the back. You can say what you want my motor has been maintaned the correct way it should last another 100,000 i only have 100156 something like that on it and it is only a 94. Ohh yeah It isn't like i am over reving or anything like that if the motor couldn't push to 6800 then the manufacture wouldn't allow it to go that high. Please tell me what will make me throw a rod.

Ah! I think I have one of those somewhere. What happens when you want to remove the mounting thingy for the gps will it mess up the dash?
And J man...inquirig minds want to know how he will throw a rod. Let us know.

RE: going down the highway
Throwing a rod was just an example I used. There arenumerous things you could mess up driving at high rpms daily. You cant tell me that if you drive daily revving at 5-6k RPM's, that your engine will last longer than if you only revved to 3-4k RPM's while shifting, etc....Just common sense.... There are so many things working together to make an enginerun, pushinghigher RPMs only betters your chance at screwing something up internally. More rpm's means more stress on engine. Hey bro, your car, your money, your choices, do what you want

a94ex: After seeing how you drive, I wouldn't buy your car either. Considering lady's milage, I'd say that she's doing a pretty good job in the maintenance area.
