Default Old Accords in NFL Commercial

Saw this commercial on TV the other night, and the old Accords caught my attention:

Bradshaw is amusing, but I didn't care for these fine old Hondas being portrayed as old junkers. I'd rather have one of them (particularly the second-gen hatch) than any modern vehicle.

Yea, I saw two 3rd gens in there....they are my favorite . They both looked to be either 88 or 89. The first one I couldn't seen enough of the body to tell if it was an LX or LXi, the second was a LX.

It also occurred to me that the third-gens didn't have airbags....

Now you know what it like to own a Corvair! Although there have been a few good spots with Corvairs lately. One in a Katy Perry video and a Mythbuster's.

Yea they did not...at least all of the ones I've owned and I've owned about every year/trim combination they came in. TV just wants to make things look the way they want. That didn't start until the 4th gen's.

Sad when you are driving down the road and look at an older Accord and you can almost nail the year/trim level just by looks...I need a life
