Default XM Radio Sounds Terrible -- Any Help?

I am new to this forum and am reaching out y'all to help me with the poor sound of XM Radio. After calling XM - they insist that all their channels are digital sound .. much better than CD's etc... it must be your tuner .. Honda tells me that it is at factory specifications .. I cannot listen to any music stations because it is too tinny .. is there an inexpensive way to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply ... 2004 Accord V6 - NO navigation unit

Speakers blown - no, when I play CD's the system sounds great

EQ setting -- I could not find that setting -- only treble, bass and center, left, right etc. Is there a way to fix the EQ setting on the system?

Thanks

find a dealer with an 07 EX still on the lot. listen to xm in there. then listen in your car to compare.

I personally don't feel the need to pay for a service that gives me commercial free music since i use a mp3 player in my car so i don't know if there is a way to change the EQ listen to smaglik that is a good idea go listen to a car with xm in it and compare them if yours sounds different then maybe it is the way your xm was plugged in (if it is a aftermaret one) and if it is not i do not know sorry

i actually think satellite radio is pretty nice...

...i get tired of having to spin my own tunes. I like the random choice. Its at my desk at work, on my pc at home, in my car...well worth it....and if you ever drive cross country, its the talk that keeps you awake, not the music. just my .02

I have Siruis and XM and like them both. I prefer Sirius because of some channels they have and some features my Sportster 4 unit has, but the quality of both radios is good IMO.
