Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
A nice roomy sedan that I bought for $1000 from a well-off older lady that had mostly new parts but needed a oil pump to block gasket, timing kit, and vtec gasket/filter screen. (2.3L Vtec, Auto transmission) Currently Serving as my leisure and family car. I originally set out to find a H22 engine and instead found this wonderful F23A. :3 (Gave this machine to a friend when I moved in early 2015)
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Aftermarket (Stock Spec) timing kit and water pump.
NAPA CV Axles (Stock Spec and put on right before i bought it)
-Battery: Equipped with an over-sized top and side post battery for flexibility and life.
Life Tests: I have listened to the radio for an hour and it still started right up. Same experience with using the in car PC for 2hrs straight.
-Coolant temp sensor works properly and radiator fans kick on when they need to but just in case I have them on a flip switch in case of sensor failure.
-Security & IMMO disabled/Bypassed. Did this for free, with few tools, and solved half of a no start condition. Keys are also cheaper XD
-Power Steering Pump Replaced with a Cardone Pump
Suspension Modifications:
Stock Spec NAPA everything. (was put on right before I bought it)
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
-Hubcaps/rings: When I bought my Accord the stock hubcaps that came with it were beat and scratched up bad. I saw a picture of an Accord online with some cool black rims with chrome around the edges. The stock rims were 15's and this gave me an idea. I grabbed some chrome rings off of a broken down '67 Chevy C10 Pickup, cleaned them up, adjusted, and popped them on.
-Current Tires: Slightly larger than stock Kumho Senses. (-Current Size: 205/65/15 -Stock Size: 195/65/15) Rides more like a Caddy now.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
-Radio: The compartment below the stock Honda radio has been removed and I have mounted and wired in a circa '08 Sony Xplod' in its place. Now I have the stock Honda Radio/Cassette deck and an Aux input for my MP3 player on the Xplod'.
-Inverters: I have a small 150 Watt pocket inverter in the glovebox for running small stuff or charging electronics.
Mounted on the Back of the back seat below the armrest access panel is my monster of an 800 Watt Power inverter. This inverter is protected by 3 30 Amp fuses (90 Amp) on the unit and one 80 Amp Maxi fuse inline to the battery with 6ga. Scosche wire that was taken from a thumper the junkyard. (Grounded on the frame in the trunk)
-In Car PC: Mounted under the passenger seat is a 2003 Compaq Presario Desktop Motherboard, a 180 watt mini sized atx power supply, an 80GB IDE harddrive with Windows XP Professional Black edition installed, and a couple fans. It's nothing for performance but for storing music, automotive manuals, records, watching AVGN, and emulating Playstation it does just fine. The monitor is secured on the rear of the drivers seat and the power button is installed onto the center consoles shell. The air shaft under the passenger seat has been modified to accommodate the motherboard and to use the a/c as a sort of extra cooling system.
-Camera: A Cheap 4:3 USB webcam with built in microphone is added onto the passenger side pillar to catch local discrimination, harassment, or crazy things that happen on the road. Computer recording @ 30fps, 1MB per minute filesize. (an hour is a 60 MB file, So 1GB of space is 17hrs and some change logically)
-Trim: When I bought it the stock "Accord" & "LX" Badges were gone. I installed my own 5th Generation Badges from the Junkyard. (I liked them more) Added "Foxi" in trim on the opposite side of the Honda badges.
Future Modifications:
-Add an USB/OBDII diagnostic hookup and software to my in car PC
-reupholster the back deck, door, and center console fabric with a nice tiger or leopard print material
-maybe some nice seat covers
-some ecu hacking and some hho cells
-new paint for the valve cover
-touch up paint for the roof
-Maybe remove the "H" emblem on the trunk and hand paint a kitty face ":3" where it was.
-Possible Cold Air Intake
-Maybe some head mods
-A Proper nick-naming like "Rattler" or maybe "Fox-Box" Read more ยป
