Basically you cant get a lot of horsepower out of such a simple mod so you might get 3 hp.... miiight..... probably get more hp out of putting stickers on your car..... a NOS sticker is worth 20hp i hear ^_- (in reply to thunder_x) Post #: 3

RE: turbonator? - 3/1/2006 2:41:06 PM    sir_nasty Posts: 6309 Joined: 2/23/2006 Status: offline Or build it yourself and find out what it does.... get an 80 MM or 120 MM computer fan (they are 12v DC so you can wire it straight into your battery (available at almost any computer shop).... Cut a hole into your airbox and mount the SOB just be sure your airflow is in the right direction, then mount a switch somewhere inside and start driving, once you feel like just kick on the switch and see if there is a difference, the fan will run you like $5.00 at the most, and the wiring/switch about $4.00 if you buy "the good stuff" if you don't like it just throw some duct tape over the hole and shrug your sholders or go to a junk yard and buy the replacement part for like $10.00... I think thats close to what it naturally pulls in with the vac hoses. lightshow mentioned a 1000cfm pipe mounted fan thats about 2psi equivilent? Downside, its a 24volt.
