How to get a F22 to 300HP!

nrmskate -> How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 1:27:36 PM)

Well, Heres some quick specs.

-Injen SRI
-JDM Muffler (soon to be Skunk2 Catback)
-Megan Headers

Obviously I need a lot more, thats all I have as for performance.

Would I need a turbo and intercooler to reach my goal of 300HP?

And just a heads up, im not putting NOS in my car, pointless....

Im mainly asking which little/cheap mods can throw some HP into my 94 Accord, non-vtec.

do you have +$5000+ laying around?

nrmskate -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 1:51:01 PM)

Thats why I stated "cheap mods"

I don't expect to get 300HP out of cheap mods.

But I want to keep stepping up.

I have about 1200$ to spend.

Oh, and I have coilovers.

BlkCurrantKord -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 3:40:11 PM)

$1200 is not going to get you 300hp. Judging by what you stated and your mods, save your money.

gomarlins3 -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 6:32:40 PM)

Is the F22 you mention here the same engine as in the AP2 S2K?

DA KID RYU -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 7:01:30 PM)

F22 is accord stock engine...
f20c is the honda s2000 engine is that what u want to know...
save up a couple dollers more and start piecing a turbo...
but read alot u dont want to end up blowing up your engne up

DA KID RYU -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 7:07:39 PM)

ohhh to answer a littler bit of your question...
too get to 200 hp...
u can go wit the usual h22 swap u have a great start right there its bout 190-200 hp.
The other way is keep your engne turbo it forged ur internals and resleeve ur block that
way it can hold up to high psiboost and u can get to your goal...
but other then that simple bolt on wont get you that much..

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I am new to Accords.

The AP1 ('00-'03) had the F20c engine, but the AP2 ('04- present) have a different block and head and I thought Honda called that an F22.

**After a little more research, I found that the AP2 engine is called an F22c.  That's where my confusion came from.**

Thanks for the help.

live2rice -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 7:19:16 PM)

for 1200 you wont get 200hp.  turbos and h22 swaps cost 5k plus when they are all said and done.

edit for 1200 you can get 200hp...............if you head for the spray, but for some reason you are against that

nrmskate -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 8:11:01 PM)

I want to be like the guy who posted to my question first.

"All throttle, no bottle"

me too thats why i have put every penny i earn into my h22, but the f22 is just a impractical motor without a turbo..........and even with to a point

nrmskate -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 8:26:54 PM)

Well I was thinking, would it be useless to do a H22 swap then turbo it.

Heres an estimate on that

H22:
Swap + engine = possibly 500-900$
Turbo kit = 1500$
Rebuild engine sleeves and head = idk 100-300$

Whereas the F22:

Turbo kit = 1500$
Already has good compression ratios and does not need rebuilt.

I mean to me, it would be senseless to do the H22 one.

But I see that my f22 Turbo would be the same as a stock H22.

idk, its all so confusing....

19Accord97 -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 10:30:16 PM)

You can get a turbo kit off ebay for roughly $800.

Your f22 can take 6-8 psi max on all stock internals.
If you have an auto, you'll need a big tranny cooler.
Heres one for the amount of $ you have saved up.

Please put your car year, model, and tranny in your sig so we can help you better.

Hmm H22A installed with engine for 500 i want to know where you are getting that deal a real jdm h22a will coast at least 2500 a great one will be about 3500
a rebiult sleeved f22b1 with rebuilt head for 100-200 hehe yeah you wont get your pistons for 200 let alone get it rebuilt and sleeve for that you got to do some more research buddy not trying to be mean just look into it before you quote some prices

nrmskate -> RE: How to get a F22 to 300HP! (3/6/2008 11:07:48 PM)

I can get a H22A here locally for 500$

And I was taking a wild guess on the resleaving as I don't want to have to do it.

I edited my sig.

And that turbo kit still wouldn't complete the turbo installation, I still need new:

Fuel injectors (450cc or up)
Tranny cooler
ECU Manager (or chip)
etc..
