A buddy of mine wants to sell me his used eibach sportline springs for $70. They have about 7000 miles on them.  Is this a good deal?  How much life do these springs have left on them? I see online that these springs sell for over $200 brand new.

I think I am looking at the same kit that you are. It would be the moderat lowering kit, you can find it on www.tirerackcom. As far as buying used spring, this gouy wouldn't. I lowered my bike, so I know real up close and personal the abuse that a spring will take when you have to pretty much sit one one. I am a machiniest and Aviation welder by trade with a degree in metallurgy, so I have also experienced what happens to steel (4130 Chromium, the material that 75% of car parts are made of) when you bounce around on it. As far as a deal goes and having 3 kids, 70 beats 200 in this house any day of the week.

Normally I wouldn't put anything used on my car, but for that price, I think I can let it slide this time.
