sri 99 accord lx - 3/21/2008 8:59:54 AM    tallgood   Posts: 47 Joined: 3/12/2007 Status: offline My sri came with 2 brackets one flat and one L shaped. I assume these are some type of universal mounting for the filter end of it. What is the best set up for this end. I cant find any good pictures of one installed that show this. Post #: 1

RE: sri 99 accord lx - 3/24/2008 7:32:02 AM    00AccordLX5spd Posts: 3815 Joined: 1/16/2007 Status: offline I didn't use either one of the brackets.  I saved them in my garage for a while.  After I finally threw them out, I saw a pic of an SRI that had the brackets installed.  From what I remember, the brackets were attached to the front of wheel well.  They served the purpose of supporting the SRI pipe.  My pipe didn't really seem to need any support.  I just cut a portion of the extra tubing that came with the SRI and put it over the AC line to prevent rubbing. _____________________________ 2000 Accord LX Sedan F23A1 5spd -Short Shift Adapter -eBay SRI w/ K&N 1995 Accord V6 Sedan AT - AKA "the money pit" 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible - my daily driver all through college - now sits in my dad''s garage - needs a little TLC (in reply to tallgood) Post #: 3

I work in a shop where we do alot if aluminum work so Im going to make something similar to what K&N does. Something with a 3 inch hole for the tube and then mount it either to the inner fender or where the old air box was. Might help block some engine heat also.  (in reply to 00AccordLX5spd) Post #: 4
