Rain gets into '89 Accord - 3/21/2008 6:41:23 PM    sunskymech   Posts: 1 Score: 0 Joined: 3/21/2008 Status: offline My '89 4-door Accord leaks rain into the trunk.  A prolonged rain soaks the carpet in the footwells inside the car also.  The car has never been in an accident and the door seals seem ok.  The leaking occurs when the car is sitting.  Any ideas where rain is getting in?   Post #: 1

This can be a real problem especially since the ecu is close the the floor on the passenger side. Once wet this will cause your car to die or u will need to dry it out which is bad. This rain comes through bad seals usually the trunk or passenger door area. check for indentations along the seal, doors, trunk sunroof ect. replace seals or use clear rubber silicon to fix bad spots. hopefully this helps u _____________________________ 92 Honda Accord dx (in reply to sunskymech) Post #: 2
