I have a 2000 2.0 accord that has a piston slap.
The piston slap when cold is something wicked ! I even had a honda mechanical rep'take it for a week after it was a year old ,and he told me it was a problem with the VTEC system . Please tell me of a cure that is proven or has some kind of way of keeping it going or give me the hard truth! regards and salutations ,frank ryan

its done it from new! When the honda tech' took it for a week and then fobbed me off with a VTEC excuse and took me for a ride in the accord demonstration car that did the same. I thought it was what they all did!
Now its really bad 120,000 miles and is perfect apart from this long running problem its going to have to be sorted, do you have any advise Mr Rocket racer!

He's from Europe, its a 2.0L.

Have you had a valve job done? I've only ever heard of one other person complain about this supposed "piston slap" and it was all pretty much in their head.
