ORIGINAL: gomarlins3 I have built one. One the the high lights of my life. A GREAT experience that I would recommend to everyone. Sadly, I sold the car before I moved here. On the good side, the money I got for the Cobra paid off the S2000. [img] [/img] http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v290/gomarlins3/Bothcarshighpass.jpg quote:
ORIGINAL: 00AccordLX5spd I would like one of the '66 427 Shelby Cobras as well, but I would rather build that myself (factory five racing kit car). OMG!!!

Haha. All of you guys that list the exotic cars: do you have any idea how much the "maintenance" on those baby's costs? For example: Ferrari recommends the Enzo be "serviced" every 3000 miles or 3 months at a cost of between 2,000 & 3,000 English Pounds (around $4,000 -$6,000 US). A 6000 mile service on a McLaren Fi - 30,000 English Pounds (about $60,000 US). Info obtained here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkfvQvc9ipI

ORIGINAL: 00AccordLX5spd McLaren F1 is THE supercar. it took so long for anybody to beat it, it should still be considered the champ. I watched an episode of Topgear where they drove one. The driver had to wear ear protection like he was flying a helicopter or something. And I think he said it only gets about 4 or 5 mpg haha! He drove an Enzo on the same episode and said the Mclaren was better. He said the Enzo felt too luxurious to be a supercar. Plus it is basically an automatic with those stupid paddle shifters. I've said it before: if I want a car with paddle shifters I'll buy my wife a Honda Fit. if I want a car that is fun to drive it better have a clutch and a stick to select gears with or I'm not buying it. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ALL SAY... If it's free, keep it for 2500 miles, then sell it and buy a nice high-end car that's not an exotic ..... for that matter, I should change my vote to a Bugatti just for the sale value! .... or a Maybach!

^ Old news. Shelby already has the Veyron beat: http://www.2sportscars.com/shelby-supercars-ultimate-aero-fastest-car.shtml Plus their car looks better. The Veyron is fugly. Haha McLaren held the world record for what 10 years or something? Then Bugatti got it for a year or two and now shelby already has their ugly car beaten! ROFL!

yeah i just thought it was funny that the Bugatti costs what like $2 million or $1.6 million? The Shelby one will be around $600k. The bugatti has a 16 cylinder engine. The Shelby has twin turbo V8. America FTW

I'm only talking about the cost factor ..... the car I'd choose is the GT90. From the maintenance aspect, it's an american car ..... even though they only built 2. If I truely had unlimited funding, first I'd stop working and develop a microturbine engine to power an electric generator and make the car fully electric. Maybe stuff that system into a Delorian like Doc Brown!!!

You have to chose a car you could actually buy Falkore, not a concept car that was never really put into production! I know they made 2, but try buying one from one of the two only owners. They wouldn't sell you that car for a million bajillion dollars! On the other hand.....Ford FTW!
