Ok, so right now I own probably the oddest combination of cars. I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 SS/T, and a 97 Honda Prelude. Both have mods. Im looking for something else to preoccupy myself and my next door neighbor has a 1991 4dr Accord. The thing is a hunk of junk, but he is offering me a ridiculously good price of $400 for the car and pinks. The car runs, just needs an idle air control valve. Thats it. The car is in what i would say "poor" condition. $400 isnt bad at all but my question is whether or not that car is worth fixing. Any ideas? And if so, send me some pics so I can help my deciding factor.

Here are a few pics of the potential purchase:

It won't be any fun since it's an automatic
But if all you want is a DD that gets better gas mileage than the Prelude or the Dodge, there you go!

If you have a place to keep it, you could get it running right and sell it for $1000 to make a few bucks also.

the cool thing about that accord is there at least 4 or 6 of them in a junkyard nearest you,  so replacement parts are very easy to find. As of right now im trying to replace my junky interior

Well my homeboy has an Accord just that i don't have pictures and whatever but his is hella-fast.

He has an H22A4 (red top) on it..

So i guess if you don't mind doing engine swaps and mod's and whatever then yes go for it. my homeboy is happy with his accord and his is not normal..he has alot of modifications on it.. and i know he beat a 2004 mustang before(300 Hp,not shelby)

heres some pics i found for you, maybe this'll help your decision

that is nice lookin horsepowerjunkie2007.
vtec2713  is it all just cosmetic damage other than the icv ?
i'd just go to a junk yard and get better condition body panels wash it and see what you think with out the dents and dings and if you still don't like it then you fixed the outside and that will help you on selling it

how many miles does it have?  does it burn or leak oil?  Those are the main things i look at.  From the looks of it, i would say its worth it.

if you could fix it up and sell it for a profit i'd say its definitely worth it! i've flipped a few cars like that by eitehr parting them out or fixing/selling them. keep us updated if you decide to go for it!

Thanks you guys. I talked to the owner and he thinks it might need some new valve cover gaskets because there is a small oil leak from the seal. But other than that it runs well. Interior is not as bad as exterior, but what do you expect for $400. I am doing some searching around still for a DD. But this is still up there on my list. But my main concern is if I do a swap for a H22, im going to put alot more into the engine than i want to. I could just find a 2nd gen integra with a B series in it and get alot more performance. So im still looking but thanks for the advice guys, keep it up!!!!
