Ok well ive fixed my distributor so my car has a clean start now, but i still have a problem with my idealing when my engine is cold and i start it up of course the idealing is high and no problem but when it warms up my cars idealing drops below one and close to zero, now when i have the car warm and i put my car in reverse it just stops because the idealing is so low, or either im in drive and im stopped at a light the car just stops and I have to start it up again. The mechanic said we should start changing stuff that makes the fuel run, so we started with the fuel filter and still the same thing. Do you think that the mechanic is right and start changing the fuel pump, fuel pressure guage and so on, or is there something wrong with the idealing.

Well I know that the first thing you check is your throttle body and everything with it usually. That's what I always do. I know you could adjust the base idle, but your problem could be somewhere else. Try taking off your IACV and cleaning it and the screen with some throttle body cleaner. BTW it's spelt idling. Everyone time I read how you have it I keep reading it as i-deal-ing lol.

sorry kind of new to cars.....well i dont know about the throttle body because whenever im driving its fine as long as my foot is on the gas and atleast pressing it down partly no problems....the mechanic said its the lack of fuel getting into the engine thats making the idling go very low.

Oh ok well the IACV controls the car's idle. It's the Idle Air Control Valve I believe is the full name. Either way it couldn't hurt to clean and can be done very easily by yourself. It was the cause of my car having a high idle, as well as later a low Idle.
