just to start off my post i'd like to say that i am a new member here. i have a 2005 honda accord ex coupe v6 6spd. i am thinking about purchasing an intake for my car but i'm not sure which one i should choose. this would be the first mod to the car that i would be putting in, however, when i bought it it already had a k&n filter in it.

my problem is that i can't tell all this marketing bs from whats the truth because i don't know too much about cars. so that's why i'm here. i'm hoping you guys can help me pick up the best one for me. i think i narrowed it down to these two intakes: the aem v2 and the k&n 69 typhoon. the v2 is ~ $100 more than the k&n ($300 vs. <$200) but i'm not sure if it's worth it. i've heard that it is a significant hp increase but then i also heard the increase is negligible. if you guys know any other ones i would definitely be open to that too. only thing is i would like to stay away from ebay and used intakes if i can.

i'm looking for an intake that is the best for my money, provides a decent increase in hp and torque, and possibly even saves me a few bucks at the pump. i appreciate the help.

This topic has already been covered.

Buy an intake kit off of ebay for your model accord.  Then, buy a separate filter that will fit on the piping and in your car off of AEM or K&N's websites.  Total, it will cost you only about $100 and you'll achieve the same exact thing.

As far as AEM or K&N filters are concerned, it doesn't really matter.  You'll only get a small 2-3 hp increase.  Personally, I went with K&N, but it doesn't really matter.  All I know is that K&N customer service is awesome.  Either way, same thing.
