I think he's past the 300 HP #.  Turbo at 8.5 psi will get you about 200-220 HP at the wheels which is about 240-250 at the engine.  Right now, I'd say that you should only push 6-7 psi which should still get you 180 at the wheels and make it do around 6.8 seconds to 60 ..... maybe even a little better.

Boo him about being 17. Everyone needs a little discipline. I'm only 19. I just don't get why you would want to swap in a F20B and drop displacement. Kind of an oxy moron for wanting more torque :P Maybe swap in a B16 while were at it? Either drop some serious cash or spray and play. You're only 17, you're still figuring out how to actually drive the car and not just push peddles and steer, and I mean that with best intentions. At that age I probably would just go with spray and use it to show off to friends. I don't think I'd start out boosting, wait till you know more about engines before that.

Jon, don't think your editing keeps me from reading the original posts in my email! "Or is it mommy?" Hahahaha, classic.

age is not a limitation if you work and know what your doing... in fact, it means you have less responsabilities and can take care of your car a bit more... so with that said, just remember i boosted my F23 @ 18 years, and i did all teh work alone w/ the not-so-constant-help of one of my pals... so, yeah, boost your engine @ 7psi...and have fun.... first feel the 200sh HP and then, when you get bored of them, (and save more $$$) mod anything else you like to make it faster... that's it!

HPJ: getting a V6 and then making it turbo is nowhere cheap, nor a good idea on those crappy trannies...

Easy there!  That's not nice and I'm sure also not true!  There are plenty of things in life for different people to be interested in or have studied.  When I was his age, I didn't know anything about power adders except for the basic functions, but I could have schooled most sound experts on wave propogation.  I didn't know about customizations or airflow design either, but I did a ton of reading on car stereos.  As we get older, we broaden our knowledge, but never discount what you knew at a younger age because chances are what you knew then still holds true now.

exactly!so i don't think we should pummel him and he stated himself he was not knowledgeable i didn't make that assumption. but we all start somewhere and i know not everyone on this forum got the knowledge they did by being born with it!and i don't think falklore could've said it better but anyways my point being to the new guy is do what you think will benefit you. all i can say is,don't ask questions just do your own research. thats what i do, i don't ask people what's good or not anymore i look up into it. and i mean research like look up pro's and con's and read up on reviews and also see if there are any recalls or defects.you'll find better answer's that way. and since i am looking to do a swap for my accord in the near future here's a site you can start at and just go from there:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_h_engine

http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/

and there's trillion others, also stop by a local auto parts or autozone and look on there magazine stand, theres always at least ONE magazine talking about engine swaps and turbo's and everything for honda's. so start reading

Ok, I guess I misunderstood you there.  It didn't read in a very frendly manner.

We give all the new guys a hard time, it's just how it goes. I can't resist dedicating a large chunk of my paycheck to my car every two weeks, even though I'm kinda forced not to lately.

I've had my car since mid-January and with all of my partial projects and upgrades that I've done, I've spent $2210 already.  I've paid $4500 to date on the financing, so in 4 months, I've driven the car a bit less than 2000 miles and spent $6710 on it, plus little odds and ends.  You think you need Tuner's Anonymous finch?
