falkore24 -> Falkore-s tC (5/6/2008 8:41:13 AM)

It was very overcast and crappy outside when I took these.  Next time I''''ll take pics when there''''s a little sun to show off the shine.  The bumpers are still messed up from the last owner, but at least I got the wheels taken care of.

19Accord97 -> RE: Falkore's tC (5/6/2008 9:14:46 AM)

I like the fact that you can't add pictures now, but you'll have time at work! lmao

I am excited to see your tC though.  Havent had much knowledge or personal experience with Scions quite yet.  I am guessing because it is supposed to be a sportier brand, there are few similarities between a yota and your Scion.

Judging by your current parts, I am guessing you are getting the handling aspect done before you add some serious power?

falkore24 -> RE: Falkore's tC (5/6/2008 11:44:28 AM)

EDIT:
I can't add the pictures because I left my camera in my car!  I love extreme handling, so I'm doing that, and I also want to make this into a show car, so I'm working out visual mods too.

I currently have a can of Nite Shades, my torsion damper from the Accord, a set of shifter cable bushings (installed) and a set of Proxy4's (installed) at home waiting for install.  The tires are waiting for the rims to be reconditioned to be mounted, but that will happen pretty soon (done!).

I've already paid for the following parts:  Energy Suspension Master Bushing Kit (should have arrived today) (installed), DC Sports FU Strut Brace (still on backorder .... WTF! .... I might change to the TRD black chrome one 'cause it's sexy!), Energy Suspension Engine & Tranny Mounts (done)

Another future install is a system.  I have 4 12" subs at home .... I'll probably hook up my early-90's JBL's for a while, but I want to sell all 4 of them and get something new to build a box for .... maybe a pair of 10's, IDK.  Before I do the system install, I want to relocate the battery (or a sealed one so I don't need a SS box for it) and also do a big 3 upgrade.

Long term plans include a widebody kit, rims and a turbo.

I just helped a buddy put halo projectors in his '07 TC. Not a fan of the look of factory TC's but any Toyota product is gonna be reliable. Im sure a wide body kit will look tight though. Good luck and keep us updated!

live2rice -> RE: Falkore's tC (5/6/2008 5:50:36 PM)

TRD supercharger FTW

falkore24 -> RE: Falkore's tC (5/7/2008 6:36:05 AM)

j_man:  Is that your buddy's?  That kit is hot!!  I want to do a widebody to cover 8.5" wheels.  The tC has trouble getting it's torque to the ground.  Eventually, I would love to turbo it ans get the LSD in it.

L2R:  The TRD SC has too many problems and no benefit over turbo.  It is centrifugal because with the engine layout, they couldn't get a roots blower on it.  Centrifugal has the same spooling curve as a turbo and also shares the boost lag associated with charge piping length .... and besides, with a supercharger, I can't have a boost controller that allows a 9 psi DD setting with a 11-12 psi high boost setting that can be engaged on the fly!!!!

00AccordLX5spd -> RE: Falkore's tC (5/7/2008 8:14:10 AM)

Once you finally get that turbo, you can practice this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH_5n_4Euyg
Then I will be jealous[:'(]

Do you have any more pics of this one?  It's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

j_man_honda -> RE: Falkore's tC (6/3/2008 7:11:06 PM)

No thats not my buddys car... I just got that one from a google image search[8D]

falkore24 -> RE: Falkore's tC (6/4/2008 6:39:18 AM)

I'm normally very against canards on a non-track car because the usually look like cr@p, but they work with that bumper ..... which I'm pretty sure is a full custom one.  I haven't seen that one before and the FMIC piping is running through the fog light hole (IS300 location .... much nicer than the TRD fogs in the middle)

KevinAccord -> RE: Falkore's tC (6/4/2008 11:05:21 AM)

awesome pics man! it will look nice as a show car...

falkore24 -> RE: Falkore's tC (6/4/2008 11:17:52 AM)

Thanks!!!!  ..... once I get the bumpers and all of the last owner's touch-ups fixed I think it'll look good ..... rims too, but I'm going to wait a bit for them.  I like the OEM rims and these new Toyo's are going to last a long time.  I have to bring 1 rim back to my guy .... clearcoat drip  :(
