hey im new to this, but i was looking to buy a used turbo from a freind im pretty sure its a garret t3 i have a 99 accord lx and i was wondering what all i would need? and he was asking 250 for the turbo.....i know i definatley need oil lines pipes intercooler...but would i need a new header and a smaller radiator?

i think it's expensive... the search function isn't working, so I won't tell you to search... so i'll just say that u don't need a smaller radiator. you are going to need a turbo manifold (aka header for NA cars)... it's expensive... If you mind me asking... how old are you?

90 percent of what i know about cars i taught myself so dont get let down but the project is huge and your car is going to have some significant downtime. study real hard before you even lift a wrench. dont touch anything if you cant teach a random person right off the top of your head Exactly how to do the job from top to bottom. to start with you will need a new header, you have to deal with the fact that your map ( manifold absolute pressure ) sensor only reads vacuum, and that as the turbo spools, more air is forced into the engine, so you will need to find a way to add more gas depending on how much boost your pushin. there is some useful info on the site here. good luck
