Yes, I saw that post.  Something is really screwed up electrically.  Let me look at some of my wiring diagrams and post back in a bit.

Wire from injector to ECU (NOT the red/black one) is shorted to ground.  Or that circuit in the ECU is fried.

ok so replace ecu? also i did find a stripped yellow and blue wire by the egr value. and does the ecu have to come from the same year and model.

No, look for short-to-ground before getting a new ECU.  If the real problem is a short in the wiring harness, a new ECU won''''t fix it.  TEST stuff, to figure out what''''s wrong.

Unplug harnesses from ECU.
Unplug each injector & measure continuity from non-red/black wire to ground.  (Yes, you''ll need a meter)

ok jim...i bought the meter. i measured the voltage and got 25 all across. ok this meter has a setting that when current flows it makes a steady noise. ok well i did test the non black and red side and the sound went away after two seconds meaning the ecu is fine? it was the same forall four injector wires. as for the other side on voltage at on position but after key went off the metershowed climbing voltage untill steady. anything seemed wrong here. and will a short make the fuel pump run that long? according to PaHonda it could be the ecu or the relay. so give me your opinion or more things to test. thank you.

OK I''m not real sure what you tested.

1 - Unplug all the wiring harnesses from the ECU
2 - Set the meter so it beeps when you touch the leads together
3 - Touch one lead to the non-red/black wire at injector, touch other lead to a good ground

Then the meter should NOT beep because that wire isn''t supposed to be hooked up to ANYTHING.

From your earlier post, I really don''t get the voltage climbing up to 25...??  That''s bizzare so I suspect you had the meter set for something other than DC Volts.

It should read 12V on the red/blk wire, not 25V.

We do not want you to check for voltage on the non-red/blk wire (what color are those wires anyway?).  You want to check for continuity on the non red/blk wire.

Tell me what brand of volt meter you got, and I will look up the symbol that you need to switch your volt meter to.

Item 2 of post 36.

For testing the red/black wires the meter should be on DC Volts.  It should read battery voltage.

did al this start to happen after you worked on the car and DROPPED the injector ??

if so, you might have a damaged injector that is totally sticking open and letting fuel bypass

this all happened suddenly. i dropped it and noting happened to the car i drove it and everything. so if the injector sticks is it causing the fuel pump to run constantly? i dont think the injectors are the problem its the fuel pump that wont stop. what else can i do i hate seeing my car sit here should i have it towed to a mechanic?

to pa... its a dt830 digital multimeter. the injector wires are brown. dark blue. red. and brown again. i did find a stripped wire on my egr value its blue and yellow could that have caused the short?

You may read the FAQ for more basic troubleshooting, otherwise just follow this troubleshooting flow chart before performing the main relay bench test. The main relay typically fails in three ways.
  1. One is when there is only 1 click after turning the key and the fuel pump won''t run.
  2. The other is when the check engine light is steady on (no clicks) and the fuel pump won''t run.
  3. The third, most uncommon, is when the check engine light goes on and off normally (click on and click off normally) and the fuel pump won''t run. This symptom needs to be tested in order to rule out the possibility of a dead fuel pump or a bad power supply that is too low to run the fuel pump.
Basically, if the fuel pump is running the main relay is fine.
  • If there are no click but the harness connector power supply is good, (how to test below) then the main relay is most often bad.
  • The troubleshooting flowchart (which uses your senses) below is an accurate diagnose if your symptoms follow the flow of the chart.

I only get one click!!!!!!!!!!?????
