I just got a AEM Short Ram for $74.00 from autoanything.com. They have a 10% sale plus free shipping. This was the cheapest price i found it for. Quick shipping and excellent product. I just put it on, installation is a easy. One bolt, 3 screws and 2 clamps to remove, and one bolt, 2 clamps, and 2 hose's to connect. Nice Intake would recommend!

:) ive got big smiles for this thread...you car doesnt rev higher....you moved the ability to produce power up the powerband. with the relatively low lift on your valves, you motor starts to starve out around 57/58 hundred rpm. now since you have increased the flow and pressure into the combustion chamber. if your running slushbox.....the computer will realize this real quick and actually have the tranny shift later.

It basically means past about 5800rpms, the engine wasn't getting enough air from the stock intake to compensate for more fuel. Now that you've got a better flow and more pressure going in, you are still making more power past that 5800 mark because now you have more air entering in. The computer recognizes this and allows the engine to rev a bit higher before it switches gears since you are still making power.

good idea on getting short ram, i wish i woudlve known when i bought my Vibrant Performance CAI that short ram protects u from hydrolock and CAI doesnt,I still cant complain i got good hp gain from my VP CAI, its just that it rains alot during cold times like fall-winter-partly spring where i live. i also dont get how some companys sell their CAI's for like 200 when it basically a metal pipe, wider diameter, and filter that intakes more air.

The cheapest cold air intake from an actual aftermarket brand and not a knock off is from VIBRANT PERFORMANCE, STREETFLOW series COLD AIR INTAKES, its available for 90-93 hondas but i wouldnt know about the rest, i got mine for 67 bucks and got good hp gains, good sound, and good gas mileage. to this day im satisfied with it! the filter needs a wash, lightshow can i just use water to wash it and let it dry or should i go buy the k & n air filter recharge kit?
