No it doesn''t suck at all. The Japan built models are the most desirable for those in the know. With a Honda J-Spec, or built in Japan, it is a coveted item. Boy how things changed since I was a young man. Stuff built in Japan was junk kinda like the items we see built in China now.

Sorry, I did a little research after I posted, I can see why it is more desirable. I was more referring to the potential rise in part costs for a true import car, but even if that were the case, I think I would still rather have a J-Spec car than one built here.

Parts match up, no worries. Buy them at local dealer.

ORIGINAL: 01 vtec nc hmmm, based on those stats I would say you were putting out between 375-425hp with the juice? I never saw a dyno on that car, but I''m pretty sure that he had about 375-380 without the juice. It was a nice street build kit. IDK the compression, but the stroking definately brought the torque lower in the rpm range, so maybe the HP #''s did stay lower than I think. I rate cars on torque since HP can become meaningless when compairing cars. Again, no dyno, but 400 ft. lbs. wouldn''t have surprised me ..... no NOS. That thing walked away on a Stingray it''s first week on the road without the spray hooked up.

Yeah, those GM 305s and the 350s were torque monsters. Depending on the year and size, plus if you stroked it out to like a 383 or something like that; 400 ft. lbs. of torque would be nothing for that engine. My 87 had 325 ft. lbs. and it was almost stock. My buddy has a built 98 Camaro, supercharged LS1 with all sorts of other crazy stuff done to it. He just got it dyno''ed: 535 rwhp 580 ft. lbs. of torque running on 8 lbs, no juice. Blows my mind...
