its an exteranl wiring, basivcly it connects the headlights dirrectly to the battery with a thicker cable  like 12 guage so that it dosent put any strain or damge the stock wiring, the stock wirings job is simply to trip the relay on the harness turing the lights on

The relay prevents the ignition spike from burning up the headlight switch.  It''s an easy installation if you understand how it works.

It allows you to keep the function of the headlight switch while fully powering the HIDs and not burn out the switch.

using HID in improperly designed housing = pissed off on coming traffic and you can get ticketed and possibly towed if the cop wants to be a dick about since it is illegal in most states to modify the safety equipment in cars...

I have HID lights and I think they are great and the housings were designed for them with proper cut off and beam placement

For the record, had the HIDs in for about it month now and have only gotten flashed once. My lights don''t even creep past the rear window from a good distance back on most cars. It''s more about what housing you put them in, I''d say 6th gen housings are fine, but the majority of them will suck for HID.

As for relay wiring, that diagram is exactly how I did mine except I used two relay and two inline fuses.

I cant find it know of course :( but when I was searching for HID''s I found a site that had a ton of cars in which they put HID kits in OEM housings and most had pics.  Then they listed hot spots and how bad the glare was.  They had my gen of Accord so maybe they will have yours.
