my accord has the f22b2 sohc and i have a question about its cam and well cams in general. ive driven a 2007 civic si (nice car. ftw) and i love the 6000 rpm cam switch, great stuff. obviously you feel that second cam. lol

when i drive my accord i romp on it sometimes and i notice at around 4000 to 4200 rpm it starts to really scream as in really take off. does my cam or single cams in general have certain points at which they become truly active, points at which they come into their sweet spot?

yeah i know its not VTEC. i was using the si example as how the second cam does its job at the certain RPM range.

thanks for the article very interesting stuff. it must be something else. i just thought that instead of VTEC. the idea of special cams activating at higher RPM, just that maybe regular camshafts just have cams that work better at certain RPM more than others. i really dont know how to explain what my car does it just really begins to kick around 4000 RPM.
