A what a real car noob

live2rice -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/9/2008 10:20:14 PM)

p28 is the ecu out of the eg gen civics.  easily tunable to whatever application. wwwphearable.net they will hook you up

Jreal -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/9/2008 10:29:09 PM)

hmm im confused that chip is for a  eg obd1 isnt the f20b obd2? sorry i ask alot of dumb things.

live2rice -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/9/2008 10:49:16 PM)

yeah they make conversion harnesses from obd2-1(~$75)

live2rice -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/9/2008 10:49:40 PM)

obd1 is far superior for tuning

Jreal -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/11/2008 5:11:46 PM)

oh ok kool is it says they have already chiped but doesnt say what ecu it is is it the p28?

live2rice -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/11/2008 6:27:23 PM)

i believe so, that or a p31 or something,  i have one in my car(now run by hondata).  they did a good job tuning it.

Jreal -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/11/2008 6:51:37 PM)

ic how much did it cost to get yours tuned

live2rice -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/11/2008 10:01:16 PM)

just the ECU from phearable? or hondata?

Jreal -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/11/2008 11:55:05 PM)

hondata. Also would it be bettet to use a P13 or is a tuned one that much better?

live2rice -> RE: f20b DOHC Vtec (8/12/2008 8:33:14 AM)

i paid 300 for hondata s200 which is no longer made, you have to get s300 which is 600 and 350 for dyno tune.

you will make more power with a chipped ecu than just a stock set up
