Go with the sways first, because those will definitely give you more handling than struts.  As far as brands go, Greddy, neuspeed, and tanube and pretty big.  Though neuspeed and greddy are definitely more on the pricier side of things.  I''''ve never heard of Progress.  I say either Greddy or Neuspeed, but if you''re short on cash, I guess you can choose the other brands.  Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for, so it might be better to save up a bit and get the better ones.

sway then strut

:D

reason being sway corrects your horrendous FWD understeer...bigger the better. 22 is common, 24 is considered monster.

Neuspeed has 27mm''s out for my 2000!

27 is SUPER MONSTER. thats a bit excessive...but I mean we drive FWD Accords...so I guess it''s not excessive at all after all. :P

I''ve heard the 27mm Progress bar is a great bar.  I had Comptechs and they were pretty sweet.  I still haven''t seen anyone else make a 6th gen V6 sedan hold 0.9g''s on a turn.

I could believe that. Even the 27mm wasn''t enough to hold it down to 0.9gs eh?

how big should i go for a daily commuter car?  maybe 22mm ?  24mm ?

and should i think about replacing any of the hardware connecting the rear sways?

the links look WEAK.... literally the thickness of a pencil

what should i make sure the new rear sways come with ? (bolts, bushings, etc..)
any tips on the install?  looks simple....

also any links or websites would be helpful...

whats your thoughts on H&R components?

03Sleeper -> RE: Strut tower bar or Rear Sway Bar? (7/28/2008 7:29:43 PM)

Daily driver i would go 22mm or 24. I have the 24mm PROGRESS rear anti-sway bar and its a miracle worker....weaving/merging is a breeze now.

winndogg34 -> RE: Strut tower bar or Rear Sway Bar? (8/5/2008 3:51:58 PM)

just got the 22mm Progress Technology rear sway... looks and feels intense !
cant believe the size difference between the two....

should install this weekend, i''ll post my thoughts.....

hoping 22mm wasnt too much...

22 is standard man, lol. Shoulda went with the monster 27mm. :P I bought my 24mm rear sway for around ~140.
EDIT- Oh btw....TL and Accord rear sways are interchangeable. I bought the 24mm designed for the TL.

You''re misunderstanding me.  I held 0.9 with my setup and hit 0.95.  Comptech is 26mm I think.

Material and tie-rod holes are critical.  The same size bar can be many times stronger.

installed the 22mm Progress Techonology rear sway... and i love it

it actually reduced the roll alot more than i had anticipated.... with cornering and weaving i feel tighter and more responsive with the wheel

i can be alot more agressive with all turning... i like it alot ! haha

feels like i can hit corners about 10 mph faster than i could before the install... possibly saving me gas in the long run....  haha probably not tho

also debadged my car this weekend.... everything went well.. next project is strut tower bar or projector headlights....
