But seriously you can get Tein Basic full coilovers for ~$600, you get a stiff spring though because they have to hold the car up at their lowest setting... which is why I went with H&R/Koni combo over coilovers.

I hadn''t thought of that.  I don''t want a stiff spring either.  Back to the drawing board.  I just want to drop around 2", but still have a comfortable ride.  Is there any combo for under $1000?

Yep.

Under $1k should be easy.

Here''s my setup:

H&R Race 1.75R/2.2F: $238
Koni Sport Dampers: $580
New strut bolts: $20
New spring isolators: $20
New damper isolators: $20
New sway bar links: $112
04+ TL-S 21mm sway: $55

And I''m at $1045... then factor in a camber kit if necessary, and that bumps it up to $1200

Dont forget alignment, another $75-100 or whatever they go for these days.

However you do not need sway bars and such.

and 1.75/2.2 is a pretty big diff, I want to see pics.

Not yet, hard to have neg. camber when it''s sitting your bedroom :D

Pics for sure, I''m riding on Teggy-sized tired right now so I will probably be dragging the car on the ground. I already scrape on everything with the stock suspension.

I''m going to my favorite alignment shop and hotrod buddy and he''ll let me sit in the car while he aligns it. $80.

I''m also debating on whether to drop the perches on the Koni''s as low as they go... then it will be 2.5R/3.0F... we''ll see.

Yesh, I may tuck some tire and run negative camber for a while on my Toyo''s, with a treadwear rating of 580 I''m not too worried about them, then I''ll buy rims in the summer and correct the camber
