I was kidding, but you could really do it.  I was talking about making outlines for spokes that would be painted on by painting the wheels black, then chrome spokes on top of that.  The caliper painting kit that I recently used had a spray cleaner for before you paint; I think it''s brake parts cleaner, but I''m not sure.  You should clean the wheels well, pre-sand with 1000 grit wet paper, re-clean then paint.  Also, paper and tape the tires to keep the paint off of them.  If I were you, I''d clearcoat as well to protect the paint.  If you want a dull appearance, you can wet-sand the clear with 1800 grit.

As long as you do what we said properly, dont over spray, clear coat.. and some tire shine.

Then it should come out fine... a good DIY with a friend or dad.

im getting, new tires in a week so it shouldnt really matter. But they just wont come clean, i have washed, scrubbed, dish soap, I even bought some spray on degreaser and it still wont work. With every wipe there is always more grease, I spent 3 hours today just cleaning and they still arent clean.
