RE: WHAT IS THIS ABS LIGHT - 5/13/2005 10:40:05 PM    habeel Posts: 85 Joined: 5/7/2005 Status: offline since then had no problems with it. except, i can still lock the wheels for a lil bit, but thats under severe punishment (downshifting into the redline while braking) but anyway, i cant really afford to have it looked at. is there any basic checks i could do, other than the obvious visual...... RE: WHAT IS THIS ABS LIGHT - 5/18/2005 6:21:14 AM    habeel Posts: 85 Joined: 5/7/2005 Status: offline i remember the first time i ever triggered ABS in a car. it was in my accord, the car i had before had 4 drum brakes and locked up really easily. anywho- i slammed on the anchors in the damp and there was this really strange dull thudding feel from the brake pedal. i was really worried, never felt that before and i thought that i had a flat, or blown a tyre when i braked. man i felt stupid getting out the car in the cold- looking at the tyres and thinking "wtf?" and then going "aaahh, stupid me.... that must be the abs!"
